My Shoes

Written by Madman the Greatest

“In this world of lost souls,
confused minds, have all lost life control,
all man are slaves to luxuries,
from platinum ice, clothes and Bentleys;

mistreating the meaning of beauty,
so wrapped up, in hating other like me,
begrudging me because I try to work honestly,
taking care of what God gives to me;

instantly, jealousy comes you,
cos I don’t think about materialistic goods,
greedily, taking thing from me,
in this world, thing I hold preciously;

Close to me, now becomes scare me
cos anger rushes like adrenaline,
Silence, now appear on my face,
underestimate, all thoughts deteriorate,

You can do what you want to do,
You can say what you want to say,
You can hate me if you want to,
but everyday, none of you people walk in my shoes
(x2)

In this world of confused children,
Confused time, a lot of confused people,
walking around, not knowing where life going,
because its ruled, by a thing called money,

if you aint got it, you’re an outcast to society,
ironically, something that a lot does see,
but ignores, only thinking bout their wealth,
but forgets the place that they used to be at,

ghetto children, living in a slum village,
waiting for the lords second coming,
the minister comforts those with passages,
from the bible, quoted by Jesus,

I am, the way, the truth and light,
guide me lord, to a path that is right,
Show me and guide me with your loving arms,
Forgive me father for things I’ve done wrong.

You can do what you want to do,
You can say what you want to say,
You can hate me if you want to,
but everyday, none of you people walk in my shoes
(x2)”
