|Genre||Hip Hop / Rap / Urban Contemporary|
Madman the Greatest begins his campaign of new recordings with this 5 track EP. Firstly, re-featuring one of his favourite UK deejays, DJ One Step Ahead on the opening track The Name (Remix), he quickly reminds you of why he is him. With battle bars and his sheer unmoved attitude, he quickly puts it to rest the common issues he faces with the rerecording of his obnoxious, Bomboclart. Talking about it in our up and coming podcast, he explains the situation that led up to his verbal chastise to a fellow DJ.
Also featured on the EP is a stripped version of Love you no more (feat Cecil Foster) which is one of Madman the Greatest’s personal favourite records from ICYMI. Recreated for The Codename is Black, this version is quite opposite but still remains as unique as the first.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at GR8-1 Music Lab, Birmingham, UK. The release features separate Edited & Instrumental Versions.
